Building work begins – Mass is moving!

Following the restoration work presently going on in St Stephen’s Church, our weekday and Sunday masses will henceforth be celebrated in St Catharine’s Church Blairgowrie. Mass times will remain unchanged. Our programme of movement into St Catharine’s starts with the 11 am mass this Sunday 17th of September 2017.

Parking could be a bit tight on the streets around St Catharine’s. If you don’t mind walking a few steps, please try parking in St Stephen’s church grounds until scaffolds are up or behind Bank of Scotland and TSB as they are usually almost empty on Sundays.

Children’s liturgy will continue during our time in St Catharine’s and follow the same pattern and while leaving and entering through the main church door into the hall.

Please note that hymn sheets for the Vigil and 11am masses will henceforth accompany our newsletters every Sunday. Please take your newsletter and hymn sheet away with you after the 11am Mass.

Meeting between few members of our congregation and Rev. Kenny and few members of his congregation went very well. We were very well received and gracefully conducted in and around the church facilities. Rev. Kenny and his congregation are looking forward to welcoming us into their church. This move could be a moment of grace for the members of the two congregations as it could help us realize that what we have together  –  Christ, far surpasses what keeps us apart!

Notice:  I will be away from the parish from Monday 18th of September to the 28th of September as part of my holiday. During this period, there will be no week day masses. The weekend masses on 23rd/24th will be covered by Fr. Roji. In case of an emergency needing a priest, please call Fr. Tobias on 01307462104.
